Cholla Challenge

We headed back down south for the weekend for race number 2 of the Intermountain Cup Mountain bike race series. The weather was horrible for the first day we were there. It was cold, windy and rainy the entire day. It did let up for a little while, just long enough for me to pre ride the course.

Saturday was a different story and conditions were just about perfect for a bike race. I ended up in 8th place for the day which wasn't too bad I suppose.

Click on the pictures for the ginormous size.

First lap of the Cholla Challenge 2009
Going down the first little wash in the race. This was about 200 yards from the start.

Nice day for a bike race
Just after the previous picture.

Cholla Challenge 2009
This is the last climb before the finish line. Look at the grimace on my face!

Cholla Challenge 2009
Almost to the top. Notice the oil spilling out of the rear shock and down the seat tube. Not too happy about that one, especially since this bike cost about as much as the space shuttle and it's brand new!

Do your photos come out this vibrant all the time or have you photoshopped them? Settings? Camera make and model? They look REALLY good.
