This thursday is the first game for the Utes. Anyone wanna come over and watch it here on the 106 inch tv? I think it starts at 8 and they play Oregon State. (I have been to that campus by the way). Let me know if you want to come.

Lance Armstrong ain't got nothing!

So here is Brian with his new road bike. Looks kind of like Lance don't you think? I took my bike out for my first ride and was very impressed. Normally on my mountain bike when I ride on the road, I am lucky if I can average 12 Mph. On my first ride, I averaged almost 17 Mph (over 20 miles). Pretty pleased I must say. So keep your eyes on the Tour de France nest year. There just might be a new champion!

Fruita, CO

Have you ever been to Fruita, Colorado? I hadn't either until this weekend. Apparently they are world famous for mountain biking, so I decided I had to go. It was great fun. Very hot though! Oh, there is also a trail that starts there and ends up in Moab, a total of 140 miles, called the Kokopelli trail. I am fixing to ride it late september/early October, but I need a support vehicle to meet me at campgrounds with food and water and such, oh and someone to ride with wouldn't be bad either! Any takers? Check out the sweet pics.

This is like the sweet air that Napoleon Dynamite got!

Rabbit Valley loop

Colorado River from Horsethief Bench (part of the Kokopelli Trail)

This is a trail called "Zippity Do-da" It is recommended for expert riders only, and this picture kind of tells you why! Notice that my chest is riding on my seat, and my sexy rear is only a few inches off the rear tire! You don't want to do any endos!

We spent the day at Mirror Lake with Cheryl's family. It was fun. We kayaked, and had some Dutch oven delights! DEEEEEEEEEEEEEE - licious!

As always, enjoy the pictures!

another one about mountain biking

So I got this new software for my gps which is pretty cool. It allows you to keep track of all your important info like distance and time and such. The coolest thing though, is it allows you to see your ride on a real map, like this. Check it out. This particular ride was about a month ago on the wasatch crest trail. It goes from Big Cottonwood canyon to Millcreek. It is one of my favs!

The 4 peters

I thought someone would enjoy the 4 Peters

If you're going to San Francisco

Went to San Francisco last weekend for a few days for work. We decided that we would go across the Golden Gate bridge. It was a nice, warm, sunny day. Then we got to the bridge. You couldn't even see the bridge it was so foggy! Then as soon as we got across the bridge, the fog was gone. Crazy. Anywho, enjoy the pics.
