So congratulations to me! I just sold my first item on Ebay. Made a cool 73 bucks + shipping. I accidentally won a new pair of brakes off ebay (the first time I have ever won anything!) so I decided to sell my old brakes the same way, sweet! It is cool because I was just going to put them in the classifieds for fifty bucks. Not too shabby! So now I have a few other things on Ebay too. We'll see how quickly I make my millions selling my old junk!
Here is the link, so check it out!

Fall Colors
Saturday we decided to go on a bike ride up Big Cottonwood Canyon to check out all the new fall colors. It was very pretty and the pictures don't really do it justice, but enjoy them anyway. Cheryl had her first real crash on the bike. She now knows what it is like to do an endo. It's good to get that first crash out of the way. Now she knows that it doesn't hurt too bad and she is going to be a little more daring now! She actually has a little dent in her helmet now to prove that she crashed hard! She is ok, but we are accepting donations to the "Cheryl don't get hurt again" fund.

Check out Desolation Lake down there!

Oh, how cute!

Look at Cheryl negotiating this switchback!

I took this picture while riding without looking!

Hellohah to you too!
So guess where Cheryl and I are going in a month? Yup, you guessed it - Hawaii!! We were fortunate enough to know some people who let us use their buddy passes to get there (yeah, you know who you are!) so hopefully we will get first class too! Not much more to say except Hawaii, here we come!

Sorry, I'm addicted
Some of you are addicted to coke(although I don't know why because that stuff is nasty!), or Mtn dew or whatever, or maybe a tv show. Well, I am addicted to mountain biking, so here are some more pics from St George. These were taken on Gooseberry Mesa, one of the funnest rides you will ever do!
Gooseberry Mesa. That is Zion National Park in the background.
Gooseberry has it all, from fast, fun singletrack.....
...To fun, rocky, technical sections.
Here is Mike at the top of a drop. Will he do it.....
...it looks like he did!
The first time I tried to go up this back in March, I didn't make it and fell over and tore my saddle. This time, no problem! All that exercising and eating healthy have been paying off I suppose! Oh, Mike didn't make it up by the way, and almost hurt his chances of having any more children in the process. Pretty funny to witness though!
A case of mistaken identity
So we got back from St George to the usual handful of messages on the answering machine. Someone from the ward, telemarketer hanging up, etc. There was one message quite different than the rest though, or any other that we had ever recieved. The message said something to this effect "Brian, or Cheryl, this is Kenny McWilliams, I need you to call me back today. Your case number is this and blah blah blah." We both thought, this is very odd, so we call the number back, and it is for Bonneville Billing, a collections company. So immediately, we both start thinking of all our bills. Could it be possible that we missed one? Maybe missed one for many months in a row? we hadn't gotten any letters telling us to pay up. This was Monday night, so we would have to wait until the morning to get any real answers.
Monday morning. We call the place back and ask for this Kenny fellow. Of course he isn't in yet, but the secretary tires to help out. We give her our case number, then she asks if I am Brian Thomas. Do I live where i do? is this my social etc? It is all my info no doubt. Then she asks if I know some law firm, and of course I don't. Then she says something to the effect of "I think we have a problem then."
To make a long story short, some other Brian Thomas had some services performed by this law firm back in June of 2006, skipped on the bill, so the law firm turned it over to the collection agency. The spectacular investigating skills of this agency led them to me somehow. Oh, I called the law firm too, and they have this guy's real information, none of which was mine. So needless to say, we were both worried about this possible identity theft!
Oh, and I have checked my credit report, and everything seems to be normal, except for the wrong previous addresses on one, but that is taken care of now. So all you dead beats out there with my name, pay your bills!

Greetings from St George!
So here we are in St George for Labor day. These are some pictures of the trip so far. Maybe we will post more when we get home. As I type this, there are about a million little kids running around the house sscreaming as loud as they can. I don't know how people can put up with this all day every day............
